Highland Park's 15-Year-Old Viking Heart Scotch whisky is a rich single malt with golden colour and complex aroma. European and American oak sherry seasoned casks were chosen to create this spirit, which ensure the taste balance. Lastly, the refill casks allow the gentle heather peat and lightly fruity character to shine through. The process of making Highland Park whiskies is unchanged since 1798 and is based on 5 keystones: aromatic peat, hand-turned floor maltings, sherry seasoned oak casks, cool maturation and cask harmonisation.

Highland Park 12 Year Old showcases the distinctive flavours of Orkney with the brand’s signature floral aromatics and gentle, lingering smoke. Notes of Seville orange, honeyed sweetness and delicate ginger spice weave together in perfect harmony with the island’s unique, understated peat smoke. Its natural golden colour comes from carefully selected sherry-seasoned oak casks. Highland Park has been crafting award-winning whisky in the Orkney Islands since 1798. This rich and complex single malt Scotch whisky is matured in sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks, complemented by a selection of refill casks to smooth and soften the flavours. The result is a wild harmony of cinnamon-spiced pineapple, vanilla sponge, heather honey, and gentle peat smoke, presented in a ceramic decanter inspired by the traditional earthenware vessels used over a century ago for storing whisky.

A brilliant marriage of 55 casks, all laid down in November 1998 and bottled at 46% ABV to ensure a rich, full-bodied character. This single malt Scotch whisky was awarded a Gold medal at the 2021 International Spirits Challenge.

Notes of fresh ginger and sun-ripened orange come to the forefront, delivered by the sherry casks matured in first-fill European oak, while the ex-bourbon barrels contribute aromas of vanilla cream and honey. The refill casks gently soften the whisky’s smoky, spicy complexity.
