Coca-Cola HBC Hungary announces record HUF 35 billion investment to expand its Central European production and export hub

The company’s regional production centre in Dunaharaszti celebrates its 30th anniversary

Coca-Cola HBC Hungary today announced a record HUF 35 billion multi-year investment in its Dunaharaszti production centre, the largest development programme in the company’s history in Hungary. The investment will expand production and logistics capacity, support further export growth and introduce new technology and packaging solutions, strengthening Hungary’s role as a key Central European hub for Coca-Cola HBC.

This year also marks the 30th anniversary of Coca-Cola HBC Hungary's Dunaharaszti production centre. Over the past three decades, the company has grown to become Hungary's largest soft drinks company, operating two production facilities and eight logistics distribution centres that serve 50,000 retail and hospitality partners while also exporting its products to 17 export markets.

During that time, it has invested approximately HUF 140 billion in the country and built a network of approximately 830 Hungarian suppliers, accounting for nearly two-thirds of its total supplier spend.

The Coca-Cola system in Hungary is comprised of Coca-Cola Hungary and Coca-Cola HBC and contributed to the Hungarian economy with HUF 286.1 billion in 2024, equal to 0.4% of GDP. Tax payments of HUF 154.7 billion generated across the Coca-Cola system’s full value chain represented approximately 0.5% of total government tax revenue.¹ The Coca-Cola system also helped create and support over 15,100 direct and indirect jobs across its value chain, equivalent to 0.3% of total employment in Hungary.

Alongside the investment, Coca-Cola HBC Hungary is marking the 30th anniversary by creating a wider positive impact for communities across the country. Through the company’s #YouthEmpowered programme, since its launch, around 17,000 young people in Hungary gained the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the labour market, helping support the next generation of talent and contributing to long-term economic growth. Separately, a €100,000 donation from the Coca-Cola HBC Foundation is funding a nationwide initiative with the Hungarian Food Bank Association, delivering support through 30 local charitable organizations across Hungary.

The company offers a broad 24/7 beverage portfolio, with suitable choices for every drinking occasion throughout the week, from morning coffee and daytime refreshment to evening relaxation.
