Finlandia Vodka refreshes shared moments with new flavours

Finlandia Vodka is expanding its flavoured portfolio in Hungary with two new variants: Grapefruit and Cranberry. The new additions align seamlessly with today’s creative cocktail culture and bring a fresh twist to drinking occasions centred around shared experiences.

While vodka itself remains in demand as a classic drink, flavoured variants have become key companions to lighter, more social occasions, serving as versatile bases for cocktails and long drinks. Among adult Generation Z consumers, cocktails and mixed drinks are particularly popular, alongside a growing demand for easy to prepare options, that allow consumers to enjoy a cocktail-style experience without the need for extensive preparation or specialised knowledge, while still delivering appeling flavors and visual appeal.¹ The introduction of two new flavors, Grapefruit and Cranberry, to the Finlandia Vodka flavored vodka portfolio responds to this  evolving consumption trend.

A fruity twist

The light character of the two new flavors fits well into the world of refreshing cocktails and long drinks, especially on occasions where young adults prioritize shared experiences. With the launch of Finlandia Grapefruit and Finlandia Cranberry, Finlandia Vodka further reinforces the message of its global campaign, “It’s Sooooooooo Fine,” which celebrates both how Finlandia can facilitate easy-going moments of pleasure and the unique character of the drink – the vodka that’s easy on the tongue and made silky-smooth by Finland’s „Midnight Sun”.

The new flavours are primarily tailored to the drinking culture of adult Generation Z. International trends clearly show a growing preference for citrus and berry profiles, particularly in products that perform well within the world of seasonal cocktails. Consumers are becoming increasingly adventurous, seeking distinctive yet easy-to-prepare options that are highly mixable and equally ideal as an aperitif, a summer refresher, or a long drink base.

According to the expert, as cocktail culture continues to evolve, greater emphasis is placed on drinks that are visually striking yet simple to prepare at home, offering inspiration for new flavour combinations.

Finlandia Grapefruit combines vibrant citrus freshness with a subtly bitter edge, balanced by floral elderflower notes and the acidity of lime, creating a lively and refreshing flavour profile. Finlandia Cranberry pairs the tart character of red berries with the gentle sweetness of grenadine and the fruitiness of apple juice, resulting in a harmonious experience both in taste and appearance.

The Hungarian Brand Ambassador of Finlandia Vodka recommends the following cocktails for those who would like to try the brand’s two new flavours, even at home:

Grapefruit Spritz

  • 40 ml Finlandia Grapefruit vodka (40% ABV)
  • 20 ml Monin Elderflower Syrup
  • 15 ml lime juice
  • 100 ml Kinley Tonic

Cranberry Spritz

  • 40 ml Finlandia Cranberry vodka (40% ABV)
  • 10 ml Monin Grenadine
  • 15 ml lime juice
  • 50 ml apple juice
  • 50 ml soda water
