Jack Daniel’s No. 27 is the double-casked and double-mellowed version of Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 – the number 27 is a symbol of the “double result”. After being filtered through charcoal, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey is matured in a new, American white oak cask, then it is removed from the original oak cask and transferred to special burnt maple casks, which adds a special character to the whiskey’s flavor. This is how Jack Daniel’s No. 27 Gold becomes a rich-flavored, light, and luxurious whiskey.
