Italian premium coffee enthusiasts can enjoy the specialties of Caffè Vergnano at more than 90 new locations in Hungary thanks to the long-term cooperation between Coca-Cola HBC Hungary, the brand's exclusive distributor in the country, and Félegyházi Bakery, a company with nationwide coverage.
Coca-Cola HBC Group acquired a 30% stake in the family-owned Casa del Caffè Vergnano back in October 2021, and the Hungarian subsidiary was one of the first within the 29-member counting Group that started the exclusive distribution of Caffè Vergnano premium Italian coffee products. Over the past nearly three years, the company has worked to promote the exceptional Italian espresso coffee culture to the Hungarian consumers and to educate its hospitality customers on how to make premium quality coffee drinks.
With the signing of this contract, Félegyházi Bakery has become the largest HoReCa customer of the Coca-Cola HBC Group for Caffè Vergnano. In line with its 24/7 strategy covering all consumption occasions, Coca-Cola HBC Hungary will also provide with coffee machines and training courses as part of the cooperation with the bakery chain, which serves approximately 1.5 million cups of coffee annually. The two companies will offer consumers joint promotions, and seasonal coffee deals.
The cooperation is strengthened by the fact that both Casa del Caffè Vergnano and Félegyházi Bakery are multi-generational family businesses and both companies pay particular attention to ensuring that their products and services are of the highest possible quality. Moreover, both organizations have a strong focus on ensuring gender equality and increasing the proportion of female managers.
