As of May 1, 2021, Coca-Cola HBC Hungary will replace the already available 1.75-liter packs in discount stores, which are considered the fastest growing segment of the Hungarian retail market, with 2-liter packs, in order to adapt to changing consumer needs.
The new 2-liter packs will be available at Aldi, Lidl, and Penny Market stores. Consumers typically buy in large volumes at discount chains; the ‘family pack’ title on the label of the new products also supports this choice.
Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero, Coca-Cola Zero Lemon, Coca-Cola Light, Fanta Orange, Fanta Orange Zero, and Sprite soft drinks will get to the shelves of discount stores in this new packaging.
There is another change in Coca-Cola HBC Hungary's product portfolio: the company is replacing 1.25-liter carbonated soft drink products with 1-liter packs in hypermarkets, supermarkets, and independent stores, while 1.25-liter bottles remain available in discount stores. The size of the new packaging aims to broaden the customer base of the category and to increase the frequency of impulsive purchases.
