Coca-Cola HBC Hungary has been looking for ways to help the HoReCa industry in this difficult situation created by the pandemic since the first wave. Now, the company is aiming to help with the shortage of skilled workers in the hospitality sector by providing elementary bartender training for 100 people in collaboration with Mojito Mixer School. This is a great opportunity for those who see their long-term future in the HoReCa sector.
The COVID-19 pandemic induced closure of HoReCa establishments has put both the workers and owners of restaurants and cafés in a difficult situation: during the lockdown period, consumption has virtually stopped at around three quarters of Coca-Cola's Hungarian partners selling products for immediate consumption. Coca-Cola HBC Hungary felt obliged to help one of industries hit the hardest economically: the HoReCa sector. With so many people leaving the industry in the past year and a half, the restaurants that are now reopening are facing a shortage of skilled workers – some have not been able to open despite the lifted restriction, because of a lack of skilled staff. This is a situation that the company and Mojito Mixer School is hoping to change with a joint initiative, through which Coca-Cola HBC Hungary will fund the bartender training of 100 lucky applicants.
