For the first time, Coca‑Cola releases an energy drink under the Coca‑Cola brand. Coca‑Cola Hungary has announced that it is expanding its portfolio with the launch of a new energy drink, called Coca‑Cola Energy.

The Coca‑Cola Company plans to expand Coca‑Cola Energy into additional markets globally over the course of 2019, with an initial focus on Europe.

With a great Coca‑Cola taste and feeling that people already know and love, Coca‑Cola Energy features caffeine from naturally-derived sources, guarana extracts, B vitamins and no taurine. It will also be available as Coca‑Cola Energy No Sugar, providing consumers with a no sugar, no calorie option. The pair of products will be available in 250ml packs in retailers and grocery outlets.

“Coca‑Cola Energy includes ingredients from naturally-derived sources and a delicious and refreshing taste of Coca‑Cola,” says Javier Meza, Global Chief Marketing Officer, Sparkling Business. “We kept these two qualities at the heart of how we developed the recipe and are proud to offer it under the Coca‑Cola brand, inviting people to try a new and different energy drink that is designed to complement upbeat and busy lives.”

Coca‑Cola Energy launches with a striking new visual identity that makes it stand out, as well as an engaging marketing campaign which will roll-out in Spain and Hungary beginning in April of this year .

Primarily designed as a drink for young adults (18-35), it will be promoted in line with The Coca‑Cola Company’s responsible marketing guidelines. This includes, in line with UNESDA guidelines, no sampling in proximity to primary and secondary schools and never promoting mixing with alcohol.
